Must-Have Tools I Use to Create Poshmark Listings That Actually Sell!

When I first started selling on Poshmark, I didn’t realize how much of a difference a few key tools could make. But after listing hundreds of items and earning over $2,000, I’ve figured out what really helps me streamline the process—and present my items in the best possible light.

If you’re just starting or looking to level up your reselling game, here are a few affordable tools (all available on Amazon!) that I personally use and recommend. These are great investments for anyone who wants to make their listings faster, easier, and more professional.

1. A Flexible Measuring Tape for Accurate Sizing

If there’s one thing buyers constantly ask about, it’s measurements. Skip the back-and-forth and list your item with full sizing details up front. I love this retractable tape measure because it’s quick, precise, and doesn’t tangle up like the old-school ones.

Pro tip: I keep mine by my photo setup and use it on every clothing item before uploading

2. A Steamer to Refresh and Impress

Wrinkles = lower offers. A lightweight steamer like this makes a huge difference in how polished your items look in photos. It heats up quickly and is compact enough to stash in a closet or drawer.

I use this on everything—shirts, dresses, jackets—before photographing. It gives a “fresh off the rack” look that builds buyer confidence.

3. Lint Roller for a Clean Finish

You’d be surprised how visible lint, pet hair, and fuzz are in photos. A quick once-over with this lint roller makes even secondhand pieces look brand new. I go through these fast, so I usually buy the multi-pack.

4. Ring Light for Professional-Looking Photos

If you don’t have great natural lighting, this ring light setup is a game-changer. It brightens up your photos without harsh shadows and includes a tripod that works great for flat lays or mannequin shots.

Bonus: You can also use this light for TikToks, reels, or when you go live about your listings.

5. Clear Bags to Organize and Store Inventory

Once my items are listed, I fold and store them in these resealable plastic bags. It keeps everything clean, organized, and protected—especially if you’re shipping from home. These are also great for bundling smaller items like accessories or tops.

Bonus: Free USPS Packaging

One of the best perks of Poshmark? They use USPS Priority Mail, which means your shipping supplies are free. I’m lucky enough to live near a few USPS locations, so I grab boxes and envelopes whenever I need to ship. You can also order them free online from the USPS site if you’re not close to one.

Final Thoughts

Selling on Poshmark doesn’t require a ton of fancy gear—but having a few reliable tools can save you hours and help you make more money long term. These are the exact items I use weekly in my side hustle, and I’d recommend them to any reseller looking to level up.
